Breaking Barriers, Rewriting Narratives: Our Journey at the PIEoneer Awards 2025

We are deeply honored and still overwhelmed to share some incredible news from London. Our founder and CEO, Bimpe Femi-Oyewo, was named Emerging Leader of the Year for Europe, the Middle East & Africa at the PIEoneer Awards 2025, a global platform that celebrates innovation and impact in international education.

For us at Edward Consulting, this recognition is more than just an award. It is a powerful reminder that the work we do, supporting African students in their pursuit of global education, is being seen, valued, and amplified on the world stage.

And while we did not take home the Championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award, being recognized as a Highly Commendable Finalist in that category was both humbling and inspiring. It reminded us how far our mission has come, from advocating for access to actively shaping conversations around equity in education.

Why This Recognition Matters

This recognition is not ours alone. It belongs to every African student who has faced barriers with visas, funding, or access to quality education overseas. It belongs to every young dreamer who has wondered if their circumstances would hold them back.

At Edward Consulting, our mission has always been clear: to break barriers, open doors, and ensure Africans are not excluded from opportunities to study, grow, and compete globally. We have worked tirelessly to ensure that finance, policies, or systemic limitations do not define the future of our students.

Because the truth is simple yet urgent: talent is universal, but opportunity is not. And too often, Africans are denied opportunities not because of ability, but because of financial and structural barriers.

Our Commitment Going Forward

This milestone is not the destination; it is a signpost along a much bigger journey. We remain committed to ensuring that more Africans are not only present in the global education space but also empowered to lead, excel, and redefine what is possible.

We are grateful to our partners who believe in this vision and to The PIE for this recognition and for always providing us with a platform to advocate for equity in international education.

The work ahead is clear. We will continue breaking barriers, rewriting narratives, and building a future where access to quality education is not a privilege, but a right.

Here’s to the next chapter.
